Alberta in August

I'm really behind in my posts. So sorry. I'm blaming it on the photography and Usborne Books businesses.
We stayed with Nana and Bummpa this time and Sarah had a ball with the various toys there. She particularly liked the water fountain on the deck (which is not a toy...of course she liked it the most!) and she was up to her elbows in water any chance she got!

When Dale and Scott left on their canoeing trip Sarah and I went down to Calgary to stay with Joc and Darryl and the kids for the night. It was Jen's wedding shower but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to attend although I was at the same house. After roughly 5 hours in the car Sarah wasn't at all interested in being inside. They have a play structure in their backyard with both a slide and a swing...you can just guess where she wanted to be, right? You got it.
Sarah had a fantastic time playing with her cousins and all their cool toys. She is so starved for social interaction with kids. Poor girl.
Nana with her three girls.
Rachel.
I took some photos of Rachel and Rylie, which I still to finish photo shopping and get to Joc. Sorry. I'll get to it soon.

We went to the park before the drive home the next day. Sarah was excited to walk down by the lake (which is a swimming lake in Joc's subdivision - very nice). It was a windy day and it wasn't really all that warm, so we didn't bring swimming gear. That didn't stop Sarah, however. Rachel, who is a few months older than Sarah, dipped her feet in the water. Sarah did too...but she didn't stop there. She walked right in and would have kept going if I hadn't stopped her. I lead her out of the water onto the sand...and she promptly fell getting completely full of sand so I had to take her back in to wash her off. As soon as she was in the water she got down on all fours and started crawling deeper and deeper. I was taking pictures and then I realised that I better stop and get her out of there before she was up to her head. Joc and Jan had a great laugh. Unfortunately I didn't find it so funny... :o) I changed her diaper and we walked home with her on my shoulders sans pants. She was freezing!
